OUR VISION

At Victory Lesson Studios we believe in creating a wonderful environment where students of all abilities, ages and backgrounds can come together to socialize through the expression of art, music, theater, recording, and movement. Our loving atmosphere is student-centric and celebrates the differences among us.

OUR CORE TEAM

Miss Donna

Miss Donna has over 15 years' experience as a dance/theater instructor, is a singer/songwriter, pianist, and accomplished painter. She has three children who have focused on 'the arts' including Miss Emily, Director of our private lesson program. Donna spent 30 years in the insurance industry and held various C-level positions, roles that gave her a unique sensitivity to those facing and managing loss.

Miss Laurie

Has over 20 years experience as a Special Education teacher and is a seasoned ABA therapist. She has raised four children and passed on her love of music and dance to each one. She has also incorporated the use of music and art in her therapeutic methodologies over the years and is an expert in her field.

Miss Emily

Has over ten years' experience teaching piano, woodwinds, voice, ukelele and trumpet to children and adults of all skill levels, with a focus on special needs students. Her degree was focused on piano performance however her heart is in private education. She serves as the director of our private lesson program and maintains an actively growing student base.

CLASSES & PROGRAMS

"Piece of My Art" – Group Art Classes

Our unique intake process will ensure that your child is matched with the appropriate artistic experience. We offer three levels of group instruction: Explorers, Travelers and Adventurers. Students will be given the opportunity to work on mixed media projects while enjoying the company of others. This fun and creative class is suitable for all students including those with or without special needs.

"Music of My Heart" – Group Music Classes

Our overall approach to each weekly class allows students of all abilities to appreciate and participate in various types of vocal music and music instruction. The incorporation of movement helps our students become completely immersed in a transformative music experience. We will explore all genres and seek to identify what resonates best with each individual student. Some of our students may find our group class a great preparation leading to a private lesson experience in one of our other programs.

"Piece of Me" – Group Sensory and Socialization

These group sessions focus on encouraging socialization through the use of sensory play materials. Students are encouraged to interact with one another. These interactions, over time, are designed to help build our students' comfort level in social settings. We anticipate and encourage that some of our students will be able to make peer connections that lead to lasting friendships.

Private Lessons –

Private lessons can be arranged by Miss Emily. We provide all levels of instruction on most instruments.

The 'Breakroom': Our breakroom program is exactly what it sounds like. A place for PARENTS to go sit and take a break or engage with us in any number of activities. Dance Classes: Unlike our music and movement class, this class will focus more specifically on traditional dance instruction that can be tailored to include students with all levels of physical and cognitive ability. We want all children to have the opportunity to perform in recitals. Fitness: This class will focus on general physical fitness through fun exercise activities for all levels of ability.

Tuition Free Sunday School Program

We believe in giving back to our community. Our Family has long been concerned that there be a Sunday School program available to all God's children including those with special needs. This is a non-denominational Protestant Christian Program. We do, however, WELCOME those of all faiths and backgrounds to participate. Our classes will be held on Sunday Afternoons from 3 to 4 pm.

A Little More About Us

For over thirty-five years, Founders Laurie Lawson and Donna McKenna have shared an inseparable bond focused on their favorite things: Children, Music, Art, Dance, Family and Faith. This is a family owned and operated business and our own children thrive here. In 2025, Miss Emily bravely began her own private lesson practice which has continued to grow and be blessed exponentially.
